This Research project was brought about by my own personal interests in the use of timber as a construction material. Its structural qualities and endless capabilities never cease to amaze, I wished to delve in to the history of timber construction in Britain, and begin to understand the technological advancements that have brought timber back to the forefront of the construction industry.
